MIT’s Accelerating Information Technology Innovation (MIT AITI, http://aiti.mit.edu/) is a multidisciplinary group that promotes technology entrepreneurship in emerging regions.
With support from Google, MIT AITI partners with universities across Africa and South Asia to offer mobile and Internet technology intense incubator courses. These courses are modeled on courses at MIT Sloan and MIT’s Course 6 (Comp. Sci & EE).
We offer lessons of real-world, actionable technology and entrepreneurship experience for the techpreneurs selected from a wide and competitive pool of applicants; the goal is for them to found sustainable technology startups.
To aid our students, MIT AITI builds and maintains networks of mobile operator contacts, local investors, mentors, entrepreneurs, and developers centered on each program location. In the last 2 years, AITI programs have produced technology startups in Kenya, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka.
MIT AITI is seeking driven Sloan MBA students or graduates to fill the role of Entrepreneurship Lecturer for our courses.
